Patricia Richey

Patricia Ann Richey Patricia Ann Richey, 76, of Oakwood, passed away at 4:22 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at her residence. She was born September 16, 1931 in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of Henry W. and Adele C. (Ringle) Garing. Pat married Robert M. Richey on February 19, 1955 at the Sacred Heart Church in Fowler, Indiana. He survives. Also surviving are her five children, Kim (Bill) Wells of Fithian, Sue (Tony) Witherspoon of Minden, NV, Lee (April) Richey of Oakwood, Jon (Kim) Richey of Bedford, IN, and Joy (Travis) Fox of Monticello, eighteen grandchildren, Justin (Amanda), Jana (Beau), Jena (Ryan), Travis, Amanda, Lee Robert, Kilian, Laura, Zack, Lorene, Mike, Josh, Tristan, Trevor, and Treyden, five great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Brevin, Gavin, Laney, and Jacob, one brother Sam (Betty) Garing, and two sisters, Rita Evans, and Rose Pillotte. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters. Pat retired from the VA hospital in 1996 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Illinois Basketball, going for walks and gardening. A Celebration of Life for Patricia Ann Richey will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007, at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center (formerly Lakeside-Barrick) located at 3550 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Father Robert Hoffman will be officiating. Friends are welcome to visit from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
