Patricia R. Tolbert

Perrysville, Ind. - Patricia R. Tolbert, 75, of Perrysville, passed away at 3 p.m. CST Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. She was born March 29, 1938 in Fountain County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank W. and Marie Martin Jarred. She married Ben Bruce Tolbert on April 27, 1958 at the Stringtown Church of God south of Covington, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include her children: Bruce Alan(Tami)Tolbert of Covington, Indiana; Sandy(Bill)Fitzwater of Georgetown, Illinois; Tracie Tolbert and Rich(Michelle)Tolbert, both of Perrysville, Indiana and Joe(Amy)Tolbert of Newport, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren; twentysix great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Keller and Jean Ann Montaque, both of Perrysville, Indiana. Pat was preceded in death by one sister, Judith Jarred, and two brothers, Charles "Butch" and Harold 'Whop" Jarred. Pat attended Perrysville High School. She enjoyed mushrooming, hunting, country music and the Game Show Network. Pat was a lifelong resident of Perrysville. She had an amazing heart and a special way of bonding with children of all ages. Pat was a wonderful mother, grandma and friend to many. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EST Saturday, November 16, 2013 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor John Hawkins; Burial: Hicks Cemetery, Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Friday, November 15, 2013 at the funeral home. The famly request contributions to the Perrysville or Newport Volunteer Fire Departments.
