Patricia "Pat" L. French

Patricia “Pat” French, 92, of Danville, IL passed away at 5:09 PM on May 22, 2025 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Pat was born on July 14, 1932 the daughter of W. Ernest and Helen (Silver) Long in Terre Haute, IN. She married Harold French on March 31, 1956 in Terre Haute, IN and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2000

Survivors include her children, Jacquelyn (Tim) Cole of Charlotte, NC, and Alan (Diedra) French of Yuma, AZ, and one granddaughter, Caitlin French of Houston, TX.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold French and one grandson, William French.

Pat grew up in Terre Haute, IN and graduated from Wiley High School in 1950 and Indiana State University in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting. While at Indiana State University she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. Pat worked at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, Lauhoff Grain in Danville, IL, Estad Products, in Danville, IL and Dotty Robinson and Associates in Danville, IL.

Pat was a member of St James United Methodist Church and participated in the Keystone Class. During her free time, Pat was active in DLO, Red Mask, the Danville Garden Club, served as the coordinator multiple years for the “Make It Bloom” event and volunteered at the Vermilion County Museum.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, IL, 3940 N Vermillion Street Danville, Illinois 61834. Rabbi Edie Yakutis will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 2-3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Pat’s memory to the St James United Methodist Church, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Vermilion County Museum.
