Patricia Lou Long

Patricia Lou Long, 75, of Danville, passed away at 10pm on Wednesday April 4, 2018. She was born on February 6, 1943 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Keith and Ruth McCann. Patricia is survived by son, Michael Clarence (Tija) Long and his children from a previous marriage with Pamela Montgerand, Amy Bryant and her children Daniel and Makenzie Murray, Brittany Long and her children, Ja'Riah, Jonathan, Brielle and Joziah, Michael and Kassie Long and their child Kinley, Jacob Frank and his child Anthony. Michael's children from previous marriage with Jennifer Renee (Sherman) Long, Amanda Clark and her children Kiah and Kamari, Kayla Long and her children Quintyn and Faith, Andrew Long and his child Wynter. Michael's children with current wife Tija Hoover, Adam Long. Michael's bonus children Andrea McIntyre and her children Julian and Kingston, and Andrew Swick. Patricia is also survived by her daughter Carrie (Jerry) Aguirre and her children from a previous marriage with Scott Lindsey, Cameron Lindsey, Alexis Lindsey and her children Elijah and Emelia, Zoe Lindsey, Savara Lindsey and Kirbee Lindsey. Carrie's bonus kids Emilee Kingrey Aguirre, Katyrina Aguirre, D'Carlos Aguirre and Gracee Aguirre. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, sister, previous husband, Terry Long and special friend Cathy Gurney. Patricia was a graduate of Taylorville High School and later received a degree in teaching from Illinois State University. She was an amazing Kindergarten teacher at District 118 for over 20 years before moving to Dallas, TX to continue teaching bilingual kindergarten children and received the teacher of the year award. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm Sunday April 8, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville.
