Patricia Joan Riley

DANVILLE Patricia Joan (Westphal) Riley, 69, of Danville, passed away at 5:29p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at North Logan Health Care, Danville. She was born on September 28, 1944, to William and Catherine Westphal in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from the Convent of Visitation School, St Paul, MN. and then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Louis University. She was a housewife and eventually worked in TV sales in the St. Louis, Mo. area, as well as, retail sales in Danville, IL. She was a very accomplished pianist who enjoyed popular and jazz music. Also, she was a very proud grandmother and often bragged about her grandchildren. She loved her cat Misty and enjoyed the company of her special friends Jane Starbody and Joan Wilson. She is survived by her brother, William R. Westphal Jr. and his wife Pat, Danville, IL. ; her daughter Elizabeth Pallissard and her husband Joel, Frankfort, IL. ; her son Paul E. Riley, Edwardville, IL; her grandchildren Turner and Maguire Pallissard; and Trey and Taegan Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Mary; her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. A celebration of Pats life and interment will take place at a later date on the Westphal family plot at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Mn. Also, a memorial mass will be scheduled at Holy Family Church in Danville. Per Patricias request her cremation will take place at Sunset Funeral and Cremation Center, who has been entrusted with her arrangements. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations may be given in her name to Holy Family Catholic Church or North Logan Healthcare facility.
