Patricia Jarvis

Patricia Ann (Garner) Jarvis passed from this life on Wednesday, November 5, at Goldwater Care in Danville, Illinois. She was the youngest child born to Addison Dewey and Blanche Rose (Sims) Garner on March 23, 1935. She attended Cannon Grade School and graduated from Danville High School in 1953. She loved music, and her passion for Jesus was shared with others through her gift as a talented pianist.

She married David Allen Jarvis on March 16, 1975. He survives along with step-daughter Vonda (Barry) Kuchenbrod of Dublin, GA, step-son David Frank Jarvis of Ogden, IL, step-grandson Clifford (Shea) Kuchenbrod of Grovetown, GA, niece Carol (Gary) Paris of Washington, NC, twin nephews Dennis (Lynn) Garner of Muncie, IN, and David Garner of Peoria, IL.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harold “Hal” Garner, her sister-in-law Dorothy Garner, her brother Kenneth “Kenny” Garner, her sister Dorothy “Dot” Smith and brother-in-law Thomas “Tom” Smith.

She was a member of the Rock Church in Danville and volunteered in the bookstore for many years. She looked forward to the weekly ladies Bible study and the fellowship. She was always on the go and willing to help others. Patricia also enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with Dave.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Pastor Randy Downing will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
