Patty LeGrant, beloved wife of Jon LeGrant, and devoted, loving mother of Anne, Katy, and Margaret Robbins, has completed her journey on Earth. She is now in Heaven, at rest and in peace. Patty is survived by Jon, and his children, Peter Pete, Andrew Andy his wife Suzie, Charles Chuck, Dale, and Joy. Pattys first husband Dr. Andrew Andy Robbins. He has been a source of compassion and understanding. I have greatly appreciated his presence in these difficult times. I thank all our families and friends for their support and understanding in our journey with Patty. It has been an honor to travel with Patty in her last days on Earth. My special thanks to all of the people at Carle Hospital who have cared for Patty while she was in the hospital. The Carle Hospice Team will always be in my thoughts for their compassion, gentle care, and for listening to us as we became Pattys caregivers. Patty graduated as Salutatorian of her class from Pennington High School. She completed three years of college at Emory and Henry College. Patty received her B.S. Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She earned the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Patty was most recently employed at the V.A. Illiana hospital before her death. Patty enjoyed reading, going on walks, playing computer word games, and spending time with her girls. Pattys daughters will miss her greatly. I hope they feel her love for them as these days pass. Patty is proud of her girls, and her goodness will live on within them. Our love and sorrow reaches out to Pattys family in Pennington Gap, Virginia. She is survived by her father and mother, Jay and Nancy Graham. Her brothers Jay Jr. and Matt and her sister Nancy Jayne will feel her loss. May it be diminished by their fond memories of their sister. Our cats, Pele, Sarah Jane, and the Sambas Buster will miss Pattys spoiling of them, They are our children at home now that the eight kids who have lived here at one time or another are continuing their own journeys away from home. Patty has touched the lives and spirits of many co-workers and friends. She was known for her kindness and sharing. I hope that she will be remembered in the spirit of rainbows and gentle spring rains. Special thanks to Sandy and Lisa. They have brought the candlelight of friendship to chase away the darkness. It has been my honor to be Pattys husband and companion. It has been my privilege to have been her friend. I am humbled by her goodness and inner spirit. I have become a better man, husband, father, pharmacist, and person in sharing my life with Patty. We will be celebrating Pattys life on Saturday, June 23rd from 2:00pm until time of services at 4:00pm at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center (formerly Lakeside-Barrick), 3550 N.
