Patricia Elaine Nelson

Mahomet - Patricia Elaine Nelson, 90, passed away on Sunday December 4, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born in 1926 to Nicholas and Gladys (Masters) Trappen in Lena, IL. Patricia married Kenneth R. Nelson on October 10, 1953 in Lena, IL. Patricia is survived by her children Susan (Rob Allen) Nelson and Kirk (Patti Griffith) Nelson; grandchildren Jesse and Amber; extended family Christopher, Preston, Kelsey, and Miles; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Patricia was extremely active in the Emmanuel Memorial Episcopal Church in Champaign, and was a member of the Egg Ladies for over 20 years. A celebration of life will be held in Patricia's honor at 6pm on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL 61820. Mother Beth will officiate.
