Patricia Brooks

GEORGETOWN - Patricia Brooks, 68, of Georgetown, went peacefully to rest at 3:20am, Thursday, November 30th, 2006, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on November 20th, 1928, in Potomac, IL, to Hansel and Gladys (Hoover) Mourer. She was wed to the love of her life, Floyd Brooks, on November 20th, 1956; from their union came nine children with seven surviving; Floyd (Susan) Brooks of Georgetown, Alice (Bruce) Shoemaker of Covington, IN, Ronald (Betty) Brooks of Georgetown, David (Sharon) Brooks, Laurie (Christopher) Jenkins of Ridge Farm, Darrell Brooks of Georgetown, & Troy (Tracy) Brooks of Crawfordsville, IN. Her grandchildren that she loved and raised as her own, Bobby Brooks of Georgetown, Dwayne Riggle of Cedar Lake, IN, Christopher Riggle of Georgetown, & Amy Johnson of Warnerobbins, GA She also was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters, Goldie, Betty, & Cora. Her parents, four brothers, a son, a daughter, & a grandson, all preceded Patricia in death. Patricia was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, and having large family gatherings. She especially cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Graveside Services for Patricia will be at Elwood Cemetery on Monday, December 4th, 2006, at 2:30pm. Pastor Mertens will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 1pm - 2pm at the funeral home.
