Danville - Patricia Ann Wyman, 89, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday April 2, 2015 at 11:55 a.m. in Covington, Indiana. Pat was born the daughter of Everett and Myrtle Smith on December 8, 1925 in Danville, Illinois. When Pat was older she married her sweetheart Joseph B. Wyman on October 4, 1958 at Central Christian Church of Danville. The two enjoyed a wonderful family life together until his passing on December 16, 1987. Pat is survived by her children Gary Joe (Marjorie) Wyman of Danville, Jane Ellen (Tom) Liles of Georgetown, and Todd (Tammy) Wyman of Cayuga, IN; her siblings Harold Lloyd Smith of Danville, and Linda L. Pickering of Danville; her grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Mark, Jesse, Misty, Shane, Josh, Nicole, Ciera, Jamie, Betty Ann, Lacey, Zach, and Megan; and numerous and loving great-grandchildren. Pat is preceded in death by her parents Everett and Myrtle, her loving husband Joseph B. Wyman, her cherished daughter JoAnne Vanderporten, and two brothers Donald Smith and Robert Smith. Pat was a generous, kind woman who was very focused. After high school she began her book keeping career at Esco Corporation, and stayed active in her career by being the book keeper for many family businesses in the area. Pat was also a volunteer, from Habitat to Humanity to the Danville Christian Womens Connection she would help with everything she possibly could. Pat was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Danville and even an Elks Lady of the Year. One thing Pat was greatly known for was her dedication to Central Christian Church of Danville. She was a member for 55 years and held several offices within the church board and was honored with the distinguished achievement of Emeritus. Pat had a very special relationship with her sister Linda Pickering and daughter-in-law Tammy Wyman. She will be greatly missed by family, friends, and fellow parishioners. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Central Christian Church of Danville at 1101 N Vermilion St, a visitation will be held the same day from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Sunset Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make donation to the Central Christian Church of Danville.
