Patricia Ann Vancamp

Patricia Ann VanCamp, 72, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:10pm, Thursday, May 21, 2015, at her daughter's home in Danvers, IL. She was born on February 20, 1943, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Donald L. and Elizabeth {Swank} Pedigo. She was united in marriage to Leland VanCamp on May 19, 1962, in Tilton, IL. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her daughters, Vicki (Jesse) McAllister of Danvers, IL, & Tanya L. (Jay) Richter of Zionsville, IN; her grandchildren, Jarren VanCamp, Corby Carl, Kiel Carl, Nichole (Donnell) McAllister-Huffman, Erin (Tom) Barnes, Gabbi Richter, Mari (Julio) Escorza, & Chaia Richter; her 7 great grandchildren with one on the way; her brother, Donald (Candy) Pedigo of Louisville, KY; her beloved niece, Jennifer (Eli) Mattingly; her many nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Sherri Ann VanCamp Smith; and her paternal & maternal grandparents. Patricia worked at DACC in the cafeteria and loved talking with the students that came through. She attended the First Assembly of God and was a member of the Red Hat Society as well as TOPS. She enjoyed playing cards and knew all the games; which she taught her grandchildren. Her family mattered most to her and she mothered everyone she knew. Patricia was a great caregiver and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Ramona Logan officiating. Visitation will be held 11am to 1pm, Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in her name to American Cancer Society or donor's choice of Cancer Charity/Organization.
