Patricia Adams

DANVILLE- Patricia J. Adams, 72, of Danville, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. She was born January 24, 1941 in Illinois and was raised by Roy and Violet Hixon Brannin, both deceased. She married James T. Adams on September 5, 1959. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1976. She is survived by a son, Leslie Adams of Quincy, IL, six grandchildren: Brian Lawrence, Kayla Adams, Torrie Adams, John, Sandra, and Randy Handy and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by a longtime friend, Joy Johnston and a very special friend, Janice Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, and daughter Marjorie Handy. Patricia was self-employed as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville and enjoyed visiting with her church friends. She loved the Lord all of her life and was very outspoken about it. A service for the celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville with Pastor David Anderson officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be next to her husband in Newman Cemetery in Newman, Illinois.
