Patricia A. Rudd

Patricia "Patty" Rudd, 79, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville. She was born on April 11, 1941 the daughter of Marguerite (Brown) and Henry Bloomfield in Muncie, IL.

Patty leaves behind her three children, Teresa (Jim) Strebing, Fredrick Browning, and Donald Bradley (Kristie) Rudd; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jacob, Amanda, Joshua, and Karlie; three great grandchildren, Lexi, Lily, and Brady; and two sisters.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles "Don" Rudd, who passed on May 29, 2000; four sisters; and two brothers.

Patty worked for the VA Hospital, Lakeview Hospital, and Morris Flamingo. Patty also received her Beautician and Cosmetologist license. She was also a notary public. Patty loved spending time with family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. You would always find her holding a baby on her lap. Patty was real early bird and always had a lot of energy to keep up with kids. She enjoyed working on puzzles, reading Daniel Steeles novels, and being a homemaker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. A private burial will be in Hebron Newtown Cemetery in Newtown the following day. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Pattys name to the American Cancer Society.
