Patricia A. Pettigrew

Danville, IL Patricia A. Pettigrew, 80, of Danville passed away at 12:25 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.

She was born on St. Patricks Day, March 17, 1943 in Danville to John R. Pettigrew, Sr. and Sarah J. (Dudley) Pettigrew.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Pettigrew and Dorothy Schingel; her brother, James J. (Marilyn) Pettigrew; brother-in-law Dale Shannon; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John R. Pettigrew, Jr. and Thomas W. Pettigrew; three sisters, Sally (Jack) Strahl, Elizabeth Shannon, and Geraldine (Bob) Winland; and brother-in-law Bill Schingel.

Pat attended St. Marys Grade School and graduated from Schlarman High School. She was a dedicated and lifelong member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Danville. In her free time, Pat would often be working on one of her many knitting projects.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Father Steven Loftus will officiate. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or a charity of the donors choice.
