Patricia A. 'Patty' Green

Danville - Patricia A. "Patty" Green, 78, of Danville passed away at 2:23 a.m. on April 9, 2018 at OSF Sacred Heart Hospital in Danville, IL. Patty was born on July 16, 1939 the daughter of Frederick and Virginia (Malone) Miller in Danville, IL. She married Glenn Green on November 17, 1961 and he survives. Survivors include her husband; Glenn Green of Danville, one son; Johnnie B. (Jessica) Green of West Chester, OH, two daughters; Kristi (Timothy) Kentner of Danville, IL and Jennifer (Joe) Wilson of Cicero, IN, one brother William (Rhonda) Miller of Bismarck, IL, two sisters; Shirley Bleveans of Danville, IL and Debra (Stephen) Sparrow of Danville, IL, six grandchildren; Zane, Amber Kai (fianc Anders), Chloe, Olivia, Ashton and Ella. Patty is preceded in death by her parents. Patty attended the Second Church of Christ, attended and taught students at the House of James Beauty School, taught students at Danville Beauty School and retired from the Administrative Offices of Medix Ambulance Service after 25 years of service. She was active in her children's PTAs, was a Brownie Leader for Elmwood School and was a Uniform Mom for Band of Vikings. In her free time, Patty enjoyed going to casinos, visiting with her grandkids and was an avid Indiana Hoosiers and Cincinnati Reds Fan. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, IL. Drew Mentzer will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Patty's name to the Danville Public Library Childrens Programs.
