Patricia Ann Ringstrom Kentner, 92, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL. She was born on July 20, 1929 to Emma L. Irwin and Lawrence A. "Swede" Ringstrom in Danville, IL.

Pat married Wayne Kentner on February 12, 1950. They were blessed with three children, Jackie (Russ) Reifsteck, Kathy (Darryl) Moss, and Rick (Judy) Kentner; grandchildren, Sheryl (Lachlan) Stokes, Ryan (Mia) Reifsteck, Patti J. (Shane) Myers, and Valerie L. (Levi) Smith; step grandsons, Sean (Jodi) Reeves and Justin (Diona) Reeves; great grandchildren, Logan, Blake (Casadee), and Drew Reifsteck, Elayna and Lauren Stokes, Aniston and Ella Myers, Braxton, Hunter, Avery, and Paisley Wilson; step grandchildren, Shelby, MacKenzie, Madilyn, Zeke, and Aubrey Reeves; Johnny Leverenz, Jenna (Joey Debonis) Leverenz, Aleeha and Carter Smith; as well as great great grandson, Hudson Debonis.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; both of her parents; a brother, Larry A Ringstrom; and sisters, Marjorie McCord Burch and Laura J. McCord Aochi.

Pat was active in her church, the Bismarck United Methodist Church. She served as an Adult Sunday School Leader for many years and was active in the United Methodist Women Society, as well as many other committees through the church. One of her favorite jobs through the church was soup making and delivering to people in the community during the winter months. Pat was active with the Vermilion County Home Extension and Community Education Association serving at the County level and the Bismarck Unit. She was also involved with the Master Gardener Program and worked at both Lakeview Hospital and St. Elizabeth Hospital in the Xray department. She worked with getting Bismarck incorporated, serving on the board for several years. Pat lived at Liberty Village where she was very active in her life there, being a representative in their commercials and radio promotions. She was very appreciative of her excellent care at Hawthorne Inn and Carle Hospice from the Carle Doctors and staff. Pat was blessed with many friends and family that she loved dearly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Bismarck United Methodist Church, 115 S Chicago Ave, Bismarck, IL 61814. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Quick. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the evening prior on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Memorial donations may be made in Pats name to Bismarck United Methodist Church in care of the Bismarck United Methodist Women Society.
