Patlynn Jameson Alvarez

Patlynn Jameson Alvarez, 57, of Georgetown, passed away at 7:49am, Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Presence USMC, Danville. She was born to Roy and Sharleen {Legue} Cozad on February 23, 1956, in Rantoul, IL. Patlynn is survived by: her father, Roy Cozad of Champaign; her significant other, Calvin Adkins; her daughter, Kimberly Jameson of St. Charles, MO; her grandchildren, Savara Lindsey & Christian Wills; her brothers, Greg (Dawn) Cozad of Sadorus, Terry Cozad of Champaign, & Tim (Teresa) Cozad of Georgia; her sisters, Diana (Israel) Cozad-Velazquez of Indiana, Becky Campbell of Champaign, & Lisa Head of Georgia; and her many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Sharleen, on November 8, 2009; her sister, Maribess Jameson-Plummer; and her grandparents. Patlynn was known as an excellent cook and as a very giving person and would give the shirt off her back for anyone. She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 2001. She loved her animals including her dogs, Sugar, Spot, Jr, & Butterscotch, and her cats, CC, Bushcat, & FB. She will be lovingly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of Patlynns life will be held from 1-4pm, Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at American Legion Dornblaser Post #203, E West St, Georgetown. As per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home assisted her family with arrangements.
