Danville Pansy Laverne (Hawkins) Foreman, 88, of Danville passed away 3:30 AM at Accolade Health Care in Danville, IL.

Pansy was born on March 20, 1932 in Lawrence County, IN, the daughter of Reverend Stanley G. and Mary N. (Payton) Hawkins. She married Wayne Foreman on June 18, 1949 in Danville and they were married 70 years and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2019.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Galeener of Catlin, IL; son, Gary Foreman of Danville, IL; granddaughters, Stacy Littlejohn of Rockford, IL, and Jennifer (Mike) Weaver of Cape Coral, FL; great-grandchildren, Karissa Littlejohn and Brayten Wagner of Rockford, IL and Bradley and Clayton Weaver of Cape Coral, IL. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Luella Potts of Springville, IN and so many nieces and nephews. She loved and adored her family and friends. Pansy and Wayne spent years of friendship and traveled with Allen and Betty Heaton of Danville, IL.

Pansy is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, brother, Vernon Hawkins; baby sister, Annetta Fern.

When Vernon was alive family would all meet in Greencastle, IN and eat, laugh, shop, and have a blast. Amen!

Pansy attended Perrysville Indiana High School and was a member of Community Church of God in Danville, IL since 1955. She worked at Peterson Filling (KIK) for 38 years. Pansy was a person of dedication. Pansy and Wayne started their lifes journey in Michigan, where they enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan. They settled back in Danville, IL with their two children where they loved their church, gospel music, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and auctions. It was quite a love story and they actually met through their Christian parents. Pansy was proud to be a "PK", a preachers kid. She would smile and laugh about that.

Pansy had a big heart and small but strong hands. She could cook, do gardening, canning, chores and work all night in a factory. Pansy did not have a selfish bone in her body. She loved her family and Christmas time and family get-togethers. She took vacation time to plan the Christmas decorating, shopping, cooking, and baking. Everybody went home with lots of goodies, including her famous banana bread. She will be so missed. Mamas heart and hands were very special and now they are with Jesus. Amen! She enjoyed baking for the church and neighbors. Pansy will sadly miss her roommate, Anna Janosik. Pansy family sends blessings to friend, Anna, and her family.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Pastor Lestan Hoskins will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the funeral home.
