Pamela West

Pamela West, 71, of Danville passed away at 6:29 AM on April 2, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Pamela was born on June 5, 1951 the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Jane (Hogue) Nixon in Danville, IL. She married Gary West on October 18, 1998 and he survives.

Survivors include her husband Gary West of Danville, IL, sons, Sean (Shannon) Boyer of Minnesota, Shane (Nickole) Boyer of Danville, IL and John Williams of Danville, IL, one daughter, Heather (Shawn) Bladel of Fairfield, IL, fourteen grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Amber, Haeley, Ashley Mary Jane, Riley, Hunter, Wyatt, Alexi, Hunter, Caleb, Skyler, Kiam and Sydney Mary Jane, as well as four great grandchildren, Andrew, Bailey Kay, Karter and Dakota and a special niece, Samantha Nixon.

Pamela is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Brittany Michelle Williams and one brother, Michael Nixon.

Pamela was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a Respiratory Therapist at Illiana Veterans Affairs Medical Center and OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center both in Danville, IL. She enjoyed spending her free time cooking, decorating, crafting and sewing. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida, shopping with her friends, her pets, especially her dog, "Harley" and being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville, Illinois, 1930 N Bowman Avenue Danville, Illinois 61832. Pastor James Yonkers will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois, 61834.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society in Pamelas memory.
