Pamela 'Pam' F. Warner

Danville Pamela "Pam" F. Warner, 65, of Danville passed away at 7:27 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her home. She was born October 18, 1958 in Chicago, IL to Lawrence and Shirley (Kellum) Kassl. She married Brian T. Warner on August 18, 1984 in Danville. He survives.

Also surviving is a son, Charles Warner of Danville; three siblings, Cindy (Bob) Schenk of Danville, Linda (Ron) Brockett of LeRoy, IL, and Sherry (Tracy Smith) Castongue of Danville; sister-in-law Cathy Warner of Danville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and her four beloved cats, Murphy, Wrigley, Bailey, and Zoey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law, Larry and Sue Warner, an infant son, David Vincent Warner, a sister, Amy Warner, and a nephew, Brian Smith.

Pam was a Registered Nurse with over thirty years of caring for others. She earned her associates in nursing from Lakeland College and continued on to Illinois Wesleyan to get her bachelors degree. From there she spent time at the Vermilion County Health Department and later as an oncology nurse until retiring in 2021. Regardless of where she served, she was always appreciated and loved by the patients she cared for. In her off time, Pam liked to cheer the Chicago Cubs and the Bears and plant flowers. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed feeding her birds and outside cats every morning. Some of her favorite times were spent traveling at a moments notice on the weekends to various wineries with her husband and friends. Family and friends were important to Pam, and she will be remembered for hosting cookouts and gatherings for holidays and Christmas.

A service to celebrate the life of Pam Warner will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Pastor Kent Tibben will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services with a burial at Sunset Memorial Park on a later date. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 also at Sunset in Danville.
