Bismarck- Pamela Ann (McMurray) Evans, 56, of Bismarck passed away at 10:10 PM, Friday, June 1, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana with her husband by her side. Pam was born on December 27, 1955 in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Charles and Mary Ellen (Dewey) McMurray. She married Donald R. Evans on April 6, 1991 at the Northland Christian Church in Danville. He survives. She is survived by a brother, Mark (Peggy) McMurray of Florida, niece Kate McMurray and nephew Michael McMurray; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by mother-in-law Irene Evans, brothers-in-law Terry (Patty) Evans, Larry (Debby) Evans, Roger (Angela) Evans, niece Mary (James) Ashlock, nephews Bryant (Krystle) Evans, and Michael Evans, great-nieces Adrianna, Miryssa Ashlock, and a great nephew, Kaleb Frazier. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her special father-in-law, Raymond H. Evans. Pam graduated from Normal High School in Normal, IL in 1974 and went on to graduate from Illinois State University. She worked at State Farm Insurance Co. in Bloomington, IL for 20 years. Pam was a member of the Northland Christian Church in Danville where she sang in the church choir and helped with the children's program of "In the Bag". She was presently attending the Northside Church of Christ in Bismarck. She was a member of the Illinois Antique Power Association Tractor Club in Rainsville, IN of which she thoroughly enjoyed being a member and participating in their many activities. Pam was also a member of the Newell Township Historical Society and the Antiquarian Antique Collector's Club in Catlin. She served as the first Treasurer of the Village of Bismarck in 1998. She collected aprons of which she had done many programs. She also liked to collect "Cows and Angels". Pam and her husband were in the process of opening the Country Church Antiques Store and Littlest Angel Tea Room in Bismarck. She enjoyed attending area church gospel sings in the area. She had M.S. for the past 22 years and the family would like to thank her two special caregivers, Myra Baker and Andrea Williams. Funeral services for Pam Evans will begin at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville, with Jimmy Hodges and Jim Russell officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday, June 5, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon, IN. Memorials may be made to Bismarck Community Fire Protection District or Bismarck Community Ambulance Service.
