Pamela J. Bales

Pamela Jean Bales, 77, of Danville passed away on Saturday, June 18th, 2022, at peace and with grace. She was born in Danville on July 24th, 1944, the daughter of Alan and Olive Estock (Barker).

Pamela is survived by her children Melissa (Tony) Taylor and Grant (Dana) Hughes. She is lovingly referred to as Grandma Bales to David (Chelsea), Jacob (Taylor), Grayson. Logan (Logan), Brady, and Madison (Parker) were blessed to have her as their Grammy. Her heart was filled with the gift of Great Grandchildren, Easton, Camden, Kaladin and she was excited to the upcoming fall arrival of baby girl Gross.

Always strong and resilient in life her final days Pam imparted this wisdom; She said death should not be a sad thing as none of us were put here on earth to stay forever. She believed we were here to do what good we could do and once that was complete it was then our time to go. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she did much good in her years and then left when she felt it was her time to depart. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and infant son, David L. Hughes Jr. Pamela enjoyed drives thru the park, ice cream, watching TV (loudly), working Sudoku puzzles and for many years her cat Socks.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bowman Estates which allowed her more days to remain living a private life and Hawthorne Inn who provided her support and comfort in her final days.

In honor of Pams wishes there will be no services. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville will follow thru with her cremation.
