Pamela Hardesty, 61, of Westville passed away on December 20, 2010 at Provena USMC Logan Campus in Danville, Illinois. Pamela was born on August 12, 1949 in Danville daughter of Jerome and Kathleen (Anderson) Van Vickle. He married Robert Hardesty on February 14, 1969 in Oakwood, Illinois. He survives along with son Perry Hardesty and daughter Elsie (Kevin) Strako both of Westville; sister Sandy; step sister Christie; and eight grandchildren: Meghan, Collin, Hannah, Penelope, Joshua, Zachary Spencer, Chad and Robert. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Greg. Pamela graduated from Oakwood High School in 68. She worked as an accountant for 42 years, and owned and operated G & W Tax Services since 1970. She enjoyed bingo, puzzles, the Peoria riverboat, and was an avid reader. A Celebration of Pamelas Life will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, per her wishes she will be cremated at Sunsets onsite crematory. The family has requested no flowers, in lieu of flowers please send memorials to the American Cancer Society.
