Pamela Cox

Tomorrow may rain, so Pamela J Cox, 64 of Tilton went to follow the sun on July 4th, 2021. Born to Billie Joe and Patricia (Keele) Gill on September 19, 1956. She married Floyd Cox, her junior high school crush, on 08/16/75, theirs was a love that lasts forever.

Pam will be dearly missed by; her sons, Joe (Jamie) Cox, Charles Cox (Angie Cross), Jon (Lacey) Cox; daughter, Nicole Cox; brothers, Kenneth (Debbie) Gill, Robert (Marcia) Gill; sister, Darla Cruppenink; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pam is preceded in death by her loving husband Floyd, parents Billie Joe and Pat Gill, sister Cheryl Rice, maternal and paternal grandparents, grandson Brody Cox, granddaughters Mazzie Cox and Nakota Jones. "We know well often stop and think about her."

She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She especially loved her Beatles and the Monkees! Pam had countless tv shows which she could never miss! (she was thankful for DVRs). Pam had an amazing talent in crochet and she loved reading her Stephen King books.

Pam was a graduate of Danville High School in 1974. She then went on to receive an associates degree in accounting at DACC, a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Pams work career was with different bank systems in Danville, Walgreens Office Center and Genpak.

Even from a young age, Pam had a way of letting herself under your skin and into your heart. When you think of her, celebrate the good memories you have. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

For the benefit of Mrs Cox, family and friends are invited to come together and celebrate her life at 9:00 am on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834 with Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am with the funeral immediately following at 11am. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
