Otis Wells

Otis Wells, 87, of Danville passed away at Hawthorne Inn with family by his side on October 23, 2016. Otis was born September 26, 1929 in Richmond, KY. the son of John Richie and Mary Elizabeth (Eades) Wells. Otis married Elizabeth Ann Marshall on June 9, 1951 she passed away on April 6, 1990, he than married Edith I. Fiser on October 2, 1993 she passed away on December 20, 2003. Otis married Christine Rothwell on July 3, 2004 she survives. Surviving Otis are his three children, Sharon Brennan, Marshall (Ann) Wells and Lesli (Bill Tucker) Cottrell, six grandchildren; Kerri, Curtis, Sara, Ryan, Bradley and Tyler, nine great grandchildren; Kayla, Landon, Alane, Austin, Brooke, Chandler, Mia, Avery and Danny, one sister in law Shirley Wells and his nieces and nephews. Otis was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, one brother and sisters; Junita Risk, Leon Wells, JoNell Turner, Altha Hutchinson, Elizabeth Luth and Richard Wells. Otis owned and operated Crown Cleaners for over 32 years. He enjoyed playing shuffle board, fishing, Otis also was a big Kentucky basketball fan. Most of all spending time with his family and friends was the most enjoyable for him. A Celebration of Otis's life will be held on Tuesday November 8 2016 at 10am at Sunset Funeral Home 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Keiser. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday November 7, 2016 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made in Otis's name to Alzheimer's Association, Ridge View Baptist Church or Danville Humane Society.
