Otis Lafrance

Otis LaFrance, 92, of Tilton, passed away at 1:15p.m., Friday, March 30, 2007 at the VA Illiana Medical Center, Pallative Care. Otis was born on December 18, 1914 in Danville, the son of Charles L and Sara L Stricklet LaFrance. On November 19, 1955 he married Virginia Lyman. She preceded him on February 27, 2001. He is survived by a daughter Ethel Louise (Charles) Mak of Hammond,In. and a cousin in Kokomo.In. He was preceded also by a daughter Sharon Lee. Otis retired from the Va Medical Center and also worked for District 118. Otis was an avid Nascar Fan and in April of 2005 Otis fulfilled his dream of driving a Nascar in Joliet. He was also a fan of George Strait and in March 2006 attended a concert in Champaign. Long time member of both the Westville American Legion Post 51 and the Southside Church of Christ. A celebration of Otis life will be held at the Southside Church of Christ, 611 S. Forrest, at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 3rd,2007. Officiating Miles Clark. Military rites immediately after the service by Post 51. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service at the church. Burial will be private at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Westville American Legion Post 51, 115 S. State Street,Westville,Ill 61883 and would be appreciated.
