Othello Reynolds

Othello Nell Reynolds, age 89, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 12:30 AM at Gardenview Manor in Danville. Othello was born May 16, 1925 in Cerulean, Kentucky to Everett and Vinnie (Keller) Alexander. She married Nelson Glen Reynolds in February of 1942 and later divorced. She had one son Paul G. Reynolds. She is survived by a sister, Rebecca (Kenneth) Lyons of Danville; one grandson, Paul (Meneka Lewis) Reynolds; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Ryan Reynolds of London, KY; sisters-in-law Lorene Reynolds of Evansville, IN and Nell Reynolds of Crofton, KY; plus many nieces and nephews. Othello was preceded in death by sisters Mary Jean Waldrop of Wichita, KS and Betty Sue (Rhea) Lyons of Alvin, her parents, her husband, and her son. Othello lived in Chicago for many years and moved to Danville in 1987. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and keeping her house for her son who lived with her until her admittance to Gardenview Manor. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Visitation will be held from 12-1PM prior to the services. Memorials can be made in her name to Farmers Chapel Church.
