Orville Miller

Orville E. Miller, 83, of Danville, passed away at 12:03 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Provena United Samaritan Hospital. Orville was born December 23, 1923 in Danville to Leon H. and Lottie (Kuemmerle) Miller. He married Delores A. Baumgart on May 18, 1947 in Danville at Trinity Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on December 12, 2006. Orville is survived by a sister, Margaret George; a sister-in-law, Margaret Murphy; four nieces, Judy (William) Stuebe, Janice (Don) Richardson, Cynthia Roderick, and Barbara (Kim) Drew; three nephews, Howard (Elaine) George, Jerry (Cathy) George, and Gordon (Cheryl) Murphy, and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard. Orville was a graduate of Danville High School. He was a United States Army Veteran during World War II. He retired from Interstate Printing as a binder. Orville worked as a funeral director assistant at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served on the board of trustees and mens club. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. Orville was a very gentle and loving man. A celebration of the life Orville E. Miller will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:30-6:30p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2007 at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Orvilles name to Trinity Lutheran Church or donors choice.
