Danville, Ill. - Orville "Dale" Ping, 55, of Danville, died at 9:09 am. CST Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Danville, Illinois. He was born January 25, 1957 in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late Orville Dean and Juanita Rose Knox Ping. Survivors include four sisters, Gloria(Marion)Cook of Cayuga, Indiana; Katie(Tommy)Roysdon of Attica, Indiana; Janeen(Scott)Baldwin of Covington, Indiana; Marlene(Larry)Grubb of Oxford, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Dean Ping. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushrooming, woodworking and muscle cars. Graveside services and burial: 1:30 p.m. EST Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Hughes Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Chuck Callahan; Visitation: Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana. The family request contributions to help with funeral expenses may be made to the funeral home.
