Orval Erp

Orval Erp, 73, of Indianola, IL passed away at 1:50 AM on April 7, 2023 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman, IL.

Orval was born on August 25, 1949 the son of Leslie and Imogene (Baird) Erp in Danville, IL. He married Doris Summers on February 14, 1996 in Indianola and she survives.

Survivors include is wife, Doris Erp of Chrisman, IL, stepchildren, Heath Summers and T.J. Summers, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, one brother, Kevin (Linda) Erp of Danville, IL and one sister, Darlene (Cleve) High of Jamaica, IL.

Orval is preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Tonya Erp, Angie Erp, siblings, John Baird, Lowell Erp, Mary Turner and Jerald Erp.

Orval graduated from Jamaica High School and was a member of the Track Team. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends on the telephone and was a magnificent storyteller.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Candace and Scott for all they have done for Orval over the years.

A Celebration of Life for Orval will be held at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. is assisting the family with arrangements. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola, IL.
