Cayuga, Ind. - Opal G. Mock, 92, of Cayuga, passed away at 9:36 a.m. EDT Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana. She was born March 20, 1921 in Vermillion County, Indiana the daughter of the late Taylor and Alice Jones Trosper. She married George Dewey Mock on April 22, 1941 in Newport, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1991. Survivors include one son, Joe(Geri)Mock of Dana, Indiana; three grandchildren, Leslie(Greg)Goode; Ryan Mock and Erin(Shane)Johnson; five great grandchildren, Jackson Goode; Addison Mock; Garrett, Callan and Cambry Johnson; one sister, Elsie Naylor of Cayuga, Indiana; one brother, Paul(Ann)Trosper of Kentwood, Louisiana and several special nieces and nephews. Opal was preceded in death by her son, William L. Mock; one sister, Edith Trosper and two brothers, Archie and Ralph Trosper. Opal was a homemaker. She was a member of the Dana Community Bible Church in Dana, Indiana where she was active with Missionary meeting. Opal enjoyed sewing, quilting and going out to eat and attending yard sales with her sister. Funeral services: 2 P.M. EDT Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Marvin Miller; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: Noon EDT until time of services on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the funeral home.
