Omer Roy Ross

Omer Roy Ross, 84, of Georgetown, passed away at 2:50am, Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Presence USMC, Danville. He was born on August 4, 1932, in Humrick, IL, the son of Roy and Almira (Ray) Ross, both deceased. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Noel of Lyons, IN, Robin (Mike) Noel of Westville, Christine (Don) Kohler of Hammond, IN, Jeff Ross of Urbana, Lisa White of Urbana, & Donna Ross of Georgetown; his 15 grandchildren; his 33 great grandchildren; his one great-great grandchild; his sister, Clara Pitts of Paris, IL. He was preceded in death by: his grandchildren, Michael Noel Jr and Tabitha Stonebraker; his siblings, Sam Ross, Bessie White, James Norman Ross, and Lucy Ellen Ross. Omer enjoyed fishing, smoking his pipe, spending time with all of his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching TV, especially Wrestling, Rocky, Gunsmoke, and westerns. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown, assisted the family arrangements.
