Olivia L. Kuchefski

Olivia "Libby" L. Kuchefski of Bloomington, IN departed on her greatest journey to start her new life on Thursday October 21, 2021.

Olivia was born in Danville, IL on January, 1951, the daughter of Francis and Betty Lane. She was joined in marriage to Mark E. Kuchefski in September 1973, and shared their lives as one for over 48 years.

Olivia is survived by her daughters, Ann (Sean) Braunstein and Laura (Geoff Clore) Kuchefski: grandchildren, Lily Braunstein and Neikola Clore: siblings Claudia (Ken) Pickard, Marilyn Sollars, Frank Lane and Steve (Pam) Lane: cousins Susie Kutter and Joanne Taggart; brother-in-law, Richard Jones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Bonnie Lane, Catherine Jones, and brother Joe Lane.

Olivia graduated from Schlarman High School, Eastern Illinois University and DePauw University. She loved all people she encountered especially her children, grandchildren and the many students she met while working many years as an elementary school teacher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Monday October 25th at St Pauls Catholic Church, 1303 N Walnut Street in Danville, with Father Bo Schmitt officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Resurrection Cemetery following the funeral. Visitation for family and close friends will be held at the church from 9:30 10:30 preceding the funeral mass. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
