Ola D. McMahon, 86, of Danville, passed away at 11:50 p.m. November 13, 2006 at North Logan Healthcare. Ola was born on June 12, 1920 in Danville, the daughter of Floyd E. and Mary E. (Ingram) Ewing. She married Ferris McMahon on June 25, 1949 in Danville. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1980. She is survived by her four sons- Jerry (Cora) Bishop, Bill (Kathy) Rennaker, John (Donna) McMahon, and Butch (Rose) McMahon all of Danville; two daughters- Sharon (Donald) Wynn and Christina (Frank) Pickett both of Danville; four brothers- Frank Ewing of Groton, Connecticut, William L. (Jean) Ewing of Waukegan, Illinois, Robert B. (Judy) Ewing of Tatum, Texas, and Henry E. Ewing of Austin, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and one daughter- Joyce Deffenbaugh. Ola attended Danville Evangelical Church. She enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, and collecting dolls. She loved to spend her time with her grandchildren and family. A memorial service for Ola D. McMahon will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Danville Evangelical Church, with Rev. J.T. Riggs officiating. Burial will be at Danville National Cemetery at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
