O.K. Minnick

Covington, Ind. -- O.K. Minnick, 86, of Covington and formerly of Monrovia, California, passed away at 7 a.m. EST Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. He was born September 19, 1921 in Stone Bluff, Indiana the son of the late Lowell and Ethel Simmons Minnick. Survivors: three sisters, Betty(Jean)Galloway of Attica, Indiana; Rosie(John)Gooden of West Lebanon, Indiana and Janet(Ed)Myers of Covington, Indiana; special friend; Dorothy Slayback of San Diego, California. O.K. was a retired barber. He was a 1940 graduate of Williamsport High School and a graduate of the Barber College of Indianapolis. He enjoyed walking and listening to music every Friday night at the Friendship Circle Center in Covington, Indiana. There will be no services. Per O.K.'s request cremation is scheduled. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Friendship Circle Center, 1307 Pearl Street, Covington, Indiana 47932.
