William "Bill" Johnson

William “Bill” J. Johnson, 83, of Danville passed away at home on November 26, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born a son of Regina and Ernest Johnson on May 21, 1938 in Danville. They preceded him in death. Also preceding Bill were 4 sisters and 6 brothers.

            Bill is survived by his wife Mildred Johnson, his children Vicki (Mark) Price and Michael Johnson, and his grandchildren Scott Price, Trevor (Taylor) Price, Autumn (Jake) Odom, and Michael Johnson, Jr, and his great-grandchildren Mattix, Maverix, and Lennox Price. He also leaves behind 2 sisters, Dee Styer and Juanita Davis, and several nieces and nephews.

            Bill could almost always be found in the garage working on his old cars, particularly his ’56 Chevy, while his jukebox played country music in the background. He had a knack for nearly everything and built 3 of the homes he lived in. He also enjoyed taking strolls around the block with his cousin Judy.

            Per Bill’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. His family has entrusted Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with arrangements.
