Theresa Barfield

     Theresa Barfield, 63, of Covington, passed on September 29, 2021, at Franciscan Health in Lafayette, Indiana.  She was born in Salem, IL, on December 27, 1957, the daughter of Louis and Wanda {Peters} Brown.  She was married to Lewis James Barfield until his passing on January 30, 2018.
     She is survived by her children, Adam (Amanda) Davis and Elizabeth Davis; her stepchildren, Michael (Beth) Barfield, Homer (Maria) Barfield, Robert (Shana) Barfield, Nicholas Barfield, & Shane Barfield; her grandchildren Zachary, Allanah, Alicia, Hudson, Soren, & Jude; her step grandchildren, Megan, Justin, Kaleb, Duncan, & Skyler; and her special friends, Donna Perry & Linda Bowling.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
     Theresa was a member of and loved the First Church of Christ in Covington.  She was always going to all the kids’ activities she could.  She also enjoyed attending the Covered Bridge Festival.  She adored her pets: her huskies, Koda & Shasta; her cats, Pumpkin & Tilly; and her rabbit, Svin.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
     A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held at 10:00am (EST), Friday, October 8, 2021, at First Church of Christ, 615 5th Street, Covington, IN 47932 with Joey Emrick officiating.  Visitation will be 4pm to 8pm (EST), Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Church.  She will be laid to rest in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington.  Memorial donations may be given in her name to First Church of Christ in Covington or to funeral home for final expenses.  Please join her family in sharing memories through her Tribute Wall www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
