Spencer D. Williams

Spencer Williams 86, of Monticello, IL. formally of Derby, KS. and Montgomery, TX. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

He was born on November 25,1936 in Trenton, MO., the son of Chase and Leda Williams. They precede him in death.

Spencer is survived by his children, Deana (Mark) Chounard, Corey (Jill) Williams, grandchildren, Austen (Jordan) Dempsay, Shelby (Craig) Harris, Jenna (Kyle) Dulworth, Chase Williams, Ryan Chounard, Lane Williams, great-grandchildren, Levi, Holland, Annelise, Avery, Emmy, Bryant and Porter.

Spencer proudly served in the United States Army, was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 441 and was a man of strong Christian faith. He was an avid sports fan and will be remembered for his kindness and warmth. He was very proud of his family, and the time he spent with them was very important to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, brothers, Eldon and Ronald Williams, sister, Lila Scott and son in law, Randy Dempsay.

A graveside service will be held on Monday October 9, 2023 at 10am at Camp Butler National Cemetery 5063 Camp Butler Rd. Springfield, IL. 62707
