Sharon Lee (Alexander) Andrews

     Sharon Lee Andrews, 80, of Chrisman, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.  She was born on October 6, 1941, the daughter of Grover and Ethel Alexander.  She was united in marriage to Joseph Andrews Jr on December 21, 1957, until his passing on October 15, 2005.
     She is survived by her children, Mary Steffen, Steve Andrews, Kim (Mark) Flynn, and Lawrance (Kelley) Andrews; her grandchildren, Amanda Andrews, Steve (Tiffany) Andrews, Christopher Park, Jeremy (Tosha) Andrews, David Crowder, Joseph (Taylor) Wagoner, and Erin (George) Hernandez, Katey Andrews, & Lawrie Andrews; her great grandchildren, Angellee Vestel (Tyler Adkins), Julianna, Kira, Ava, Shirley, Brent, Savannah, Samantha, Jade, Raelynn, Halle, Kayl, & Henley; her great-great granddaughter, Haven Grace Marie; her sister, Nancy (Al) Sayre; her special niece, Christine (Rod) Smead; as well as, many other nieces and nephews; and special friend, Eleanor McGehee.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover & Ethel Alexander; her husband, Joseph Andrews Jr; her brother, Jim Alexander; her sons, Joseph Andrews III and twins, Terry & Jerry Andrews; infant daughter; and her granddaughter, Lynnsea May Andrews.
     She attended Westville High School and went back later in life, completing her GED.  She retired from General Electric in 1976, becoming a homemaker, taking care of her grandchildren, and raising chickens.  She enjoyed cookouts, playing Yahtzee, spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
     The family would like to thank hospice nurses, Angie, Dawn, & Lori, and a special thank you to Sherry Landis, for all the comfort, kind words, & support.
     A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846 with Pastor James Blue officiating.  Visitation will be 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola, IL.  Memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Please join her family in sharing memories through her Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
