Saralee Tucker Obituary

Saralee Tucker, 95, of Danville passed away on June 25, 2020 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.

Born May 25, 1925 she was the daughter of Wymond F. and Sarah W. (Wainwright) Rouse. She was the youngest of seven children and was preceded in death by siblings, Daisy and Earl Rouse, James Rouse, Marguerite Monroe, Clara Thompson and Alice May.

On January 21, 1945 Saralee married Robert O. Tucker in Danville. They celebrated 45 years of marriage before his death in February 1990. Saralee and Robert had three sons, Robert D. (Marlene) and Dennis J. (Connie) of Danville and Terry L. of Puyallup, Washington.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Troy (Angie), Patrick (Megan), Gary (Karen), Lori (Jake), Nicklas, Nicole, Brian (Adrienne), Brad (Tessa); fourteen great grandchildren, Mallory, Kelly, Ryan, Sean, Kathryn, Allison, Emma, Loren (Jordan) Ellis, Layla, Max, Andrew, Jack, Miles, Lydia and one great great-granddaughter, Knightley.

Saralee had a special interest in genealogy. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family as well as attending family reunions. She liked to bowl and in her earlier years she traveled with the Perrysville legion for bowling tournaments. She loved her grand, great-grand and great great-grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with her special friends Louise, Sue and Shirley.

Visitation for Saralee will be from 9am to 10am Tuesday June 30, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 followed by a graveside service at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian, IL at 10:30am.
