Robert Wayne Gee

Robert W. Gee, 76, of Covington, IN, passed away on November 2, 2019 in Lafayette, IN, surrounded by family.

He was born on April 13, 2019 in Marshfield, IN to Gordon and Ruth (Martin) Gee. He was married to the love of his life Karen Kiser for 57 years. She survives.

Robert is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Jeff Gee of Kingman, IN, daughter, Teri Gee of Lafayette, IN; brothers, Bruce and Don Gee; sisters, Wanda Taylor and Ruthie Coffing; grandchildren, Dani Billings, Jessica Gee, Stephanie (Dane) Dudley and Morgan Safford; great-grandchildren, Bladen, Brandon, Bryson, Mack and Bennett. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Kenny and Carl Gee and sister, Louella. 

Robert worked for GM as a maintenance millwright and retired in 1995. He served in the US Navy.  Robert was an animal lover.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion in Danville, IL.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, delivering camping trailers, gardening, dancing, golfing and traveling.  Mainly he enjoyed his family and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. 

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 7:00 PM EST on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, IN 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932. Memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in his name to Franciscan Hospice 1415 Salem St. Lafayette, IN 47904.
