Patty Kelley Obituary

It is with great sadness that Patty Kelley of Georgetown has passed away on October 2, 2019.  After her great battle with Ovarian cancer, she has gone to see her Savior.  She was born on September 29, 1947 to Max G. and Wilma V. Wait, both deceased.

Patty was united in marriage to Michael D. Kelley and enjoyed 55 years of marriage.  With this union, they have two sons, Todd & Shane (Lisa) Kelley; six grandchildren, BreeAnn (Jonathan) Brumfield, Lyndi Kelley & Drew, Ross Kelley, Tanner Kelley & Malia, Sam Kelley, & Max Kelley; four great grandchildren, Ty, Ava, Rosalyn, & Kasen.  She is also survived by:  her sisters, Sally (Scott) Campbell, Teri (Milton) Austin, and Juli Wait; her nephews, Chris, Lucas, Aaron, Chase, Malcolm, & James; her nieces, Jennifer, Tracy, & Carrie; and her brother-in-law, Barney (Peggy) Kelley; and her sister-in-law, Janet (Larry) Moss.  She enjoyed her daily communication with her sister-in-law, Peggy, and her very best friend, Nicole (Kevin) Cheuvront, whom she loved dearly and would not forget it.

Patty loved her family immensely.  She enjoyed spending time with them and attending many of their events.  She loved her great grandchildren and referred to them as her “Littles”.  She worked for 33 years for Dr. Karl Muster Orthodontics and was a familiar and friendly face in their office.  Patty didn’t know a stranger and made everyone feel welcome into her life.  She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

As per her wishes, Patty was accorded cremation rites.  A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, located at 200 E West Street, with Pastor James Blue officiating.  Visitation will be held 11:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to American Cancer Society.  Please join her family in sharing memories through her Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
