Nancy L. Curry

Nancy Lee Curry passed away on November 19, 2021 at OSF. She was born on June 19, 1951 to Harold and Anna Ruth Miller, in Danville, Illinois, whom preceded her in death.

Nancy was also preceded in death by her husband Larry Curry, of 42 years. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Ryan) Flessner; three grandchildren, Skyler, Prisilah, and Zanden; sisters, Shirley Wagoner, Jane Miller, and Aunt Betty Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as special friends, Jeff and Lou Ann French.

Nancy was welcomed home by her parents; sisters, Linda and Diane; and brothers Rodney, Jimmy, Fred, and Robert.

Nancy attended Danville High School and was employed at Quaker Oats until her retirement. She loved gambling, slots, and especially playing bingo. She loved to shop, especially for her grandchildren. She loved to go out and sing Karaoke with Larry. She also enjoyed collecting a variety of jewelry.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. What cannot be described in words is her love for her grandchildren. She absolutely could not wait to be called Grandma. She loved every minute she spent with her grandchildren and went above and beyond all measures to make sure they were safe and happy.

She was so excited to visit Las Vegas as that was always on her bucket list.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Per Nancy’s wishes she will be cremated following the service.
