Melvin J. Munhall

Melvin J. Munhall, 94 of Champaign, IL. passed away peacefully at his home in Champaign on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He was born in Champaign on September 26, 1929 the son of Melvin and Gwendolin (Wells) Munhall.

Melvin is survived by his daughters; Mary Beth Munhall of (Monticello, IL.), Theresa Moore of (Champaign, IL.), Pamla (Lynn) Bogle (Texas), Lynette Martin (Idaho), and Shelly Carling (Chicago). Six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and seven great- great grandchildren.

He proudly served in the United States Army from October 3rd 1955-September 12, 1957. He was married to Mrs. Carrie Ellen Munhall (Sebens) for 68yrs, she precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Jerry, Charles and David and grandson, Daniel.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, November 20th 2023 at Grandview Memorial Gardens 4112 W. Bloomington Rd. Champaign, IL. 61822

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Melvin’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
