Mary Brown

Mary Brown, 74, of Tilton passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, IL. She was born on September 3, 1945 the daughter of Claude and Mildred Doggett in Danville, IL. They precede her in death.

Also preceding Mary in death include her husband Darwin Brown Sr; daughter, Mildred Zettler Robinson; granddaughter, Cassandra; brother, Richard Doggett; and sisters, Frida Hinkle and Kate McCrone.

Mary leaves behind her stepson, John; stepdaughters, Tonya and Frankie; grandchildren, Danielle, Darwin, Angie, Jason, Billie Jo, Danille, Jessica, and Tim; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Sid Redman and Naomi McCrone.

Mary enjoyed watching baseball, she especially loved following the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed waking up early, making coffee, and watching her special shows. One of favorites was the television series Charmed. Mary’s passion was taking care of people. She raised many children and foster children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren children play sports. Mary was a loving and caring person; she will be missed dearly by her family and the people that loved her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
