Margaret Troxel Obituary
Margaret Troxel, 84, of Danville passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born on July 13, 1936, the daughter of Celia and Elmer Johnson in Danville, IL. They precede her in death.
Also preceding Margaret in death include her husband of 66 years, Billy Troxel, who passed on April 28, 2020; their children, Bonnie Troxel, John Troxel, and Karen Troxel; siblings, Elmer (Lucille) Johnson, Warren (Delores) Johnson, Alberta Farmer, Theodore Johnson, and Leon (Kyoka) Johnson.
Margaret leaves behind two sons, David (Toni) Troxel of Peoria Heights, IL and William (Beverly) Troxel of Wilmington, OH; two daughters, Connie Troxel of Decatur, IL and Cheryl (Benjamin) Meier of Lincoln, NE; ten grandchildren, Dylan Troxel, Zach Troxel, Logan Troxel, Whitney (Sean) Sagraves, Travis (Molly) Weber, Kevin (Amber) Royalty, Jennie (Joe) Belinsky, Tyler Miller, Lance Chuck, and Jerimiah Chuck; and 15 great grandchildren.
Margaret was a very kind person. She loved planting, gardening, and animals, especially cats. She made the best candy and the best fried chicken. She was the best mom, grandma, and great grandma. She will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Raymie Gordon. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from just prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
