Lawrence J. Augle, 92, of Alvin, IL passed away at 10:47 AM on September 17, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Lawrence was born on March 20, 1930 the son of William and Kathleen (Murphy) Augle in Chicago, IL. He married Barbara Ann Johnson on August 21, 1953 in Chicago, IL and she preceded him in death on December 12, 2016.

Survivors include his sons, Larry (Christine) Augle of Alvin, IL, and Dennis, (Kelly) Augle of Burbank, IL, daughter-in-law, Deborah Augle of Oak Lawn, IL, siblings, David and Paul Augle and Teressa Biltgen as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara, one son, Robert Augle and several siblings.

Lawrence served his country in the United States Army and was an Ironworker in Chicago for many years. He always made quick friends and enjoyed spending his free time working in his yard and cruising around town.

Per Lawrence’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and inurnment will be in St Mary’s Cemetery in Chicago, IL. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
