Ken Quinn Obituary

Ken Thomas Quinn, 76, of Catlin passed away on 6:20am on July 20, 2020. He was born in Davenport, IA on July 8, 1944 the son of Howard and Virginia Quinn.

Ken is survived by significant other, Lois Woodward of Catlin; cousins, Glenn (Kay) Campbell of Phoenix, AZ, Noel Campbell of Prescott, AZ, Carole (Campbell) Bush of Malibu, CA, Victor Quinn of Davenport, IA; nieces and nephews, Becky Worton, Barbara Carstens, Thomas (Satomi) Quinn, Robert (Renee) Quinn, Michael Quinn, Linda (Decker) Quinn; great nieces and nephews, LaTisha, Nicholas, Kayla, Brandon, Anthony, Edward, Randy, Johnathon, Brice, Ashley, Austin, Tyler, Abigal, and Kyle.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Louise (Campbell) Quinn; father, Howard Thomas Quinn; Sister, Cinneretta (Cindy) Quinn Worton and brother, Donald Howard Quinn.

Ken graduated high school, joined the Marines and went to Vietnam. He began driving truck for Canada Dry in 1972. He then became an owner operator and later an independent contractor for his company Stargazer. He drove a total of 49 years; trucking was his passion and he was very good at it. Ken had a death experience and was committed to God, he was a healer, channeling God’s power. He was Native American; Chiricahua Apache and became a Windwalker Shaman. Ken was very proud of his heritage.

Ken had a huge presence and will be missed by his soul mate of over 20 years, Lois Woodward. Together they ran the highway between Chicago and Los Angeles, CA for two years in their trucks.

Ken was very proud of his nieces and nephews and boasted of the accomplishments of each of them. He was so proud of all of them!

A graveside service for Ken will take place at 3pm on Friday July 24, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park 3901 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ken’s name to the Lung Cancer Association
