Joan Rennick Obituary

Joan L. Rennick, 82, of Covington, IN passed away on December 21, 2017 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on April 22, 1935 in Danville, IL the daughter of Harold and Winifred (Wheeler) Roark. She married Richard Rennick Sr. on June 2, 1952 in Danville and he survives. Joan will be deeply missed by her husband, Richard Rennick Sr. of Covington, IN, children; Richard L. (Myra) Rennick Jr. of Covington, IN, Nancy (Kerry) Rowand of Greenwood, IN and Thomas E. (Debi) Rennick of Covington, IN, grandchildren; Alison (Chris) Fetsch of Baltimore, MD, Deanna (Scott) Rice of Greenwood, IN, Leann (Brandon) Hock of Greenwood, IN, Aubrey Rennick of Lafayette, IN and Hadley Rennick of Covington, IN, great-grandchildren; Ethan, Cameron and Noel Fetsch; Ashlyn and Jackson Rice; Tyler Wilson and Kinsley Hock, niece, Glenda Shoemaker and nephew, Randy Roark. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Carlos Hutsler and one brother, Robert Roark. Joan was a 1952 graduate of Schlarman High School. She worked at Community Action in Covington, for the State of Indiana Hearing Office and as a private real estate appraiser. She was a member of Tri Kappa in Covington for many years as well as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Joan especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. A celebration of life memorial visitation for Joan will be held on December 30, 2017 from 2-5 PM at Maple Corner Restaurant in Covington. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in her name to the Covington Community Foundation. Sunset's Covington Chapel 420 3rd Street Covington, IN 47932 is in charge of arrangements.
