Janice DePratt Obituary

Janice Martin DePratt, 79, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare Facility where she was a resident.

Janice was born on September 17, 1943 in Danville, Illinois to Hodge and Wilma (nee Baker) Martin who, along with Jan's brothers Ora "Bud" Martin and Steve Martin, precede her in death.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Terrie Khoshbin (Shain) of Dallas, Texas and their sons, Sam and Rocky Khoshbin; Jerry DePratt (Shelly Bowman) of Tilton and his children, Coy, Brady and Maranda DePratt; and Tom DePratt Jr. (Kristin) of Danville and their children Weston and Lane DePratt and Clein, Mason, Gavin, Quinn and Carrigan Gard.

Jan graduated from Danville High School in 1961 and later that year married Thomas DePratt. The couple lived in Tilton where they raised their three children until Tom's death in 1981. While her kids were growing up, Janice enjoyed supporting their athletic teams and other endeavors by serving as team mom, running the concession stand, making poms poms and serving as room mother. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, taking in many strays and feeding wildlife around her house. Jan had been a member of Old Union Church of Christ.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.
